Sunday, August 22, 2010 at 12:56PM We all love Julia Roberts of course....but this book/movie? Not so much. I could not get past the first 20 pages of either copy of the book that came into my life (gifts/loans from friends) because I could not read past the "me, me, me" tone. The lousy-iest part is the main character's lack of remorse for breaking her husband's heart. "Enough about me, let's talk about me." "Send me thoughts of loving kindness" she mentally says to her distraught, left in the dust husband back in New York. The whole Ashram thing came off as a cohort of guilty people, trying to make themselves feel better, by encouraging others to forgive them. I am sorry that this lousy lady is profiting from her lousy-ness.
